Where is the 350 Block?

The 350 Upper Bunyip forestry block lies only 10 kms to the north-east of the tourist township of Gembrook in Melbourne's beautiful Dandenongs Ranges. Gembrook is now the terminal point of the restored Puffing Billy Tourist Railway that each day brings many tourists to this vibrant little town - which began life as a railhead back in the 'timber days' early in the 1900s.

There is no reason why Gembrook's re-development as a tourist centre should not enjoy a renewed forestry tourism industry - apart from the short-sighted destruction that is being caused by DSE-sanctioned logging of the beautiful Upper Bunyip River Valley.

There are compelling recreational and environmental reasons why logging of the 350 Block should cease immediately - and the UBAG seeks your urgent assistance to achieve this goal!

We must all do our part to SAVE THIS BLOCK for inclusion into the Bunyip State Park without delay. So... "get on the Bunyip Bus" now, and add your voice to our campaign.
